About the Author

Ludmila Bakonyi Selingerová, known professionally as Pohádková Lída, is a Czech children's author and educator who has published more than twenty books.

Her work often explores complex themes, believing that stories can make them easier to understand and approach with kindness. Her books invite children to explore their imagination, emotions and curiosity, offering little literary journeys from which each child can take away whatever they are ready for and need at that particular moment.

She brings eighteen years of experience in education, including twelve years of direct pedagogical practice and six years of developing educational programmes and collaborating with educational institutions, including the Czech National Pedagogical Institute and educational centres. She also contributes to several children's magazines, leads workshops as part of lifelong learning programmes, and develops educational activities for children, particularly in the areas of wellbeing and environmental education.
